Narromine War Memorial Cemetery

Narromine War Cemetery is located on Parkes Road, at the southern boundary of town.

This War Cemetery is one of 72 official Commonwealth War Graves in Australia.

Included in this cemetery are the graves of Squadron Leader ‘Sammy’ McGoldrick RAAF and Flight Lieutenant French RAF whose Mosquito fighter-bomber rolled onto its back over town during training exercises and crashed in a fireball near the saleyards on Friday 27th July 1945, as horrified locals looked on.
