$1.5 million of funding confirmed for the Narromine Region

Narromine Shire Council has been successful in receiving over $1.5 million of funding through the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities Round two Fund.

The funding has been allocated to a number of local sporting facilities and streetscape upgrades in Narromine, Trangie and Tomingley.

Narromine Shire Council’s General Manager, Jane Redden said “Council is very appreciative of the funding”

“The funding will help fast track a number of projects identified in the Community Strategic Plan”

Narromine Shire Council’s Mayor, Cr Craig Davies said “the funding will ensure our Region continues to be a great place to live for our current residents along with attracting new residents to the area”

The projects included in the funding are;

Work is expected to commence before the end of the year on a number of projects, with works to the Pools expected to begin during the off-season in 2019.
