Access prohibited to Alan Burns Oval

Works at Alan Burns Oval, in Trangie, have now commenced with the removal of turf and soil beginning this week.

The full redevelopment of the Alan Burns Oval playing surface includes; surface and sub surface drainage, new irrigation, turf, cricket pitch and perimeter fencing.

Narromine Shire Council’s General Manager, Jane Redden said “works are on track to be completed before the winter sports season commences”

“Residents are reminded that Alan Burns Oval is locked for safety reasons and that unauthorised entry is prohibited”

“If you have any questions in relation to the works, you are encouraged to call Council, as contractors will not be answering any questions on site” she said.

As Alan Burns Oval is a work site, the facility is locked at all times unless deliveries are taking place. Please ensure you refrain from entering the site to ensure you do not get injured.
