Ausfly a huge success

Narromine Aerodrome hosted Ausfly from Thursday 18 October to Saturday 20 October 2018.

The event has been dubbed as a huge success from all involved including the organising committee and attendees at the event.

Narromine Shire Council’s General Manager, Jane Redden said “It is great to see so much support from the Aviation industry and the community for the local event”

“The community event on Saturday was a great success, despite the weather, with over 700 people attending, raising over $1,100 for VRA”

“There was something for everyone from aviation enthusiasts to the general community”

Council would like to thank both SAAA and AOPA for organising the event; Narromine Gliding Club and Narromine Aeroclub for catering the event; the Narromine Aviation Museum for allowing free admission into the museum; VRA for parking the guests and also major local sponsor Inland Petroleum for supplying the fuel for the air display.

Without the support from sponsors such as QBE Insurance, Ambroba, AGGA, Matt Hall Racing, Avplan and the Screaming Diamonds the event would not have been such a success.

The Ausfly event will be an annual event held in Narromine each year. To stay up to date with all information Ausfly visit
