Development applications strengthening the Region

The latest building approval figures for February reflect an increase in growth within our Shire with a total of 57 approved Development Applications (DAs) totalling $6,638,335 for the financial year to date.

Key developments within the Shire include; Namoi Cotton Seed Shed ($1.3 million), Solar Panels (500 kw) ($433,256), Auscott Storage Shed ($2.282 million), Trangie Respite Centre ($350,000) and USMC Residential Units ($500,000).

Narromine Shire Council’s General Manager, Jane Redden said “currently we are seeing an increase in DA applications across the Shire.”

“These developments are great for the community with a number of projects leading to more jobs and residential housing availability.”

“The four (4) two (2) bedroom units, built behind the USMC in Third Avenue, are a great example of developments that are strengthening the Region through offering residents low maintenance units in the centre of town.”
