The Draft Sport and Recreational Services Master Plan along with the Draft Cycle Plan is now on Public Exhibition.
The draft Sport and Recreational Services Master Plan has been developed with an overall vision to work with the community to provide safe and appealing
sport and recreation opportunities to encourage active and healthy lifestyles.
Narromine Shire Council’s General Manager, Jane Redden said “the strategy has a number of focus areas, including action items for the Shire’s sporting
grounds, swimming pools, sports centre, parks and tracks and trails.”
“Through the Sport and Recreational Services Master Plan development a number of specific strategies will be developed. It is these strategies that give
an overall direction and assist to support grant funding applications for the future”.
“It is important to Council that community members are able to provide input into the development of both the Sport and Recreational Services Master Plan
and the Cycle Plan currently on public exhibition” she said.
Key actions in the strategy include the development of the following documents;
The Cycle Plan currently on public exhibition includes the addition of a number of footpaths in Narromine, Trangie and Tomingley as well as the development
of a Regional cycle track.
