Media Release: Warm Welcome for New Comers at Narromine Region’s Welcome Evening

Narromine Shire Council will welcome new residents to the Region on Thursday, 16 May 2019 at Soul Food Design Depot and Gallery from 6pm to 7pm.

The Welcome Evening is held annually and will give new residents the opportunity to meet the Mayor, community groups, sporting clubs, businesses and get in touch with what is on offer in the Narromine Region.

The evening caters to new residents who have relocated to Narromine, Trangie and Tomingley in the last 12 months and they are encouraged to attend the event and to enjoy a great night out.

Narromine Shire Council’s Mayor, Cr Craig Davies said “moving to a new place can be an overwhelming experience, so it’s a perfect opportunity for new comers to meet others in the same situation.”

“It’s really important that new residents feel welcome in our Region and the community at large and that they understand the great opportunities available here.”

Community organisations such as volunteer groups, service clubs, and sporting clubs have been invited to attend the event, to display what is in on offer in Narromine Region and to encourage participation from new residents to areas that may suit their interests and needs.

New residents are required to register to attend the event, for catering purposes and are requested to RSVP to Council by Monday, 13 May 2019.

To register for the event, contact Council on 6889 9999 or email mail@narromine.nsw.gov.au by Monday, 13 May 2019.
