Operational Plan and Budget on public exhibition

Narromine Shire Council’s revised Long Term Financial Plan, Workforce Management Plan, Asset Management Plan, Delivery Program and Operational Plan (including budget and fees and charges) will be on public exhibition until 5pm, Wednesday 6 June 2018.


Almost $12 million will be spent on capital works projects and a strong focus on progressing major economic projects are among the highlights of Narromine Shire Council’s draft Delivery Program and Operations Plan.


Narromine Shire Council’s General Manager, Jane Redden said “residents are encouraged to view and provide feedback on the plans while they remain on public exhibition.”


“The draft Operational Plan sets our Council’s entire works program for 2018/2019, covering everything from maintaining our parks through to major projects”


“Council is focusing on providing an attractive place for business and our community to continue to grow” she said.


The draft operational plan, which incorporates the Council’s budget and fees and charges for the financial year July 2018 to June 2019 inclusive, outlines activities to be undertaken by Council over the next financial year.


Major capital works from the Operations Plan (2018-2019) include;

  1. Delivery of Pool upgrades in Trangie and Narromine
  2. Installation of CCTV to Narromine CBD
  3. Main Street works to Narromine, Trangie and Tomingley
  4. Maintenance work to local and regional roads
  5. Upgrade to Tom Perry Drive and Aerodrome Industrial subdivision

The documents are available for viewing at Council’s Offices at 120 and 124 Dandaloo Street, Narromine; the Narromine and Trangie Libraries and the Tomingley BP Fuel Station.
