Works to upgrade the Tomingley Memorial Hall under the Stronger Country Communities Grant Round 1 are now complete.
A total of over $150 000 in works have been completed including:
Internal and external asbestos lining removed and replaced with villa board planks
Historical signage will also be installed.
“The upgrades to the hall will allow the community to use the facility for various events including meetings, weddings and community events,” said Jane Redden, Narromine Shire Council’s General Manager.
“We would like to thank the NSW Government for providing the funding and our local member Troy Grant for advocating our cause to make these upgrades possible,” said Mrs Redden.
“Residents may book the Tomingley Memorial Hall for an event through Council’s website: www.narromine.nsw.gov.au/community/showground-hall .”
“The improvements to the Hall will help facilitate our action to share and celebrate our cultural and social diversity through local events, programs and projects, as outlined in the Community Strategic Plan.”
