Works to upgrade the Trangie Showground Grandstand Seating under the NSW Government’s Public Reserves Management Fund Program are now complete.
A total of over $94 000 in works have been completed including:
“This project is one of many that has been delivered by Narromine Shire Council in 2018 for the benefit of our Shire communities,” said Jane Redden, General Manager of Narromine Shire Council.
“The project meets our objectives in the Community Strategic Plan to ensure connection between sporting user groups and provide active and passive recreation facilities,” she said.
“The upgrade of the Grandstand will ensure that facilities at the Trangie Showground are maintained for future use.”
“We continue to be grateful for the support of other levels of Government, in this case the NSW Government, which allows us to improve our facilities and assist our local clubs,” said Mrs Redden.
“The next major event that the Trangie Racecourse & Showground will host is the Macquarie Picnic Races on Saturday 29 December.”
“The races are the biggest event on Trangie’s calendar and always draw a large number of visitors to our region,” said Mrs Redden.
“We encourage our residents to support the event, take part in a great day out at the races and enjoy the upgraded facilities at the Showground.”
