The Business Innovation Bootcamp is an intensive workshop, run over the weekend of the 16th – 18th August at The Exchange. It is designed to assist businesses in their approach to problems worth solving for real-world challenges in a creative, fast-paced and collaborative way.

The weekend will be run by Stephen Rutter, a leading ‘doer’ in the innovation and entrepreneurial community. Participants will walk away with a problem based approach to social innovation that is ready for them to trial, refine and implement in their local setting.

Potential solutions reached can improve any aspect of life including; at home, work, farm, social, banking, sustainability, health and well-being, and more.

Stephen Rutter, founder of the Scale Institute, continues to help businesses in the region, as a facilitator in CenWest Innovate’s Next Stage Growth Program, and designer of the Agritech Incubator in Wagga Wagga.

Fire stations will open their doors to give everyone the chance to chat with firefighters, learn more about what they do every day and to check out fire trucks and firefighting equipment. In addition to demonstrations and station tours, Open Day will also include critical fire safety presentations such as installing and maintaining smoke alarms and how to develop a home escape plan with your family to ensure safety.

Open Day includes safety demonstrations, fire station tours and the chance to inspect equipment and trucks used by our firefighters when responding to all kinds of fire and rescue emergencies. There will also be an array of activities for all children who attend.

It’s a great time to also speak to firefighters first-hand about fire safety in the home, including how to install and maintain smoke alarms and how to develop a home escape plan to ensure they can quickly and safely escape in the event of a fire.

Narromine Jets see firm believers in giving back to their community & one of the way in which we do this is holding our annual charity day, with funds being raised donated to local charities. This year we are proud to be supporting Narromine Rescue Squad, Narromine Cancer Support Group & Give Me 5 For Kids. 1st Grade will wear specially designed jerseys with the colours representing each of the charities. These jumpers will be auctioned at the USMC after the game to donate funds to the charities. The day is a family day with Uncle Johnnys Animal Farm & face painting for the kids! The day is also our opportunity to thank & recognise our sponsors. Clubs can’t function without the incredible generosity of our sponsors. Make a night of it, stick around after the charity auction & dance the night away to live music provided by Duncan Ferguson!

The Men’s Heath Education Rural Van is a Rotary project made possible by fundraising, generous sponsorships and time freely given by hundreds of Rotary volunteers.

A custom built caravan with a dedicated Registered Nurse travels the state of New South Wales offering free health screenings to regional and rural men, who are notorious for being completely in the dark about the state of their health.
