Paralympian athlete David Hall announced as Australia Day Ambassador
Paralympic Gold Medallist, David Hall OAM will lead the Australia Day celebrations in Narromine on Friday 26 January.
A former professional athlete, David has been consistently ranked No.1 in the world for Singles Competition and his nineteen Super Series (equivalent to
the able-bodied Grand Slam) Single Titles are the most recorded by any player on the international tour.
In 2010 David was inducted into the ‘Sport Australia Hall of Fame’ and in 2015 the Australian Tennis and International Tennis Halls of Fames’.
Narromine Shire Mayor, Cr Craig Davies said it was an honour to have Mr Hall as this year’s ambassador and encouraged the community to attend the celebrations.
“David has an inspiring story and we are very much looking forward to having him speak at our Australia Day celebrations”
“There will be various gatherings across our Shire with breakfast in Trangie at Trangie Bowling Club and breakfast in Narromine at Dundas Park,” he said.
The community is invited to join Australia Day gatherings in Narromine and Trangie.
