Media Release - Connect with your inner Aussie Adventurer

The new ‘Aussie Nature Theme’ playground is open at Dundas Park offering children complete immersion in exploration, activity and fun.

A few months overdue for opening, the playground is now finished and ready for use.

The playground features climbing towers, flying fox, swings, learn to ride bike path, a carousel, landscaping and shade and seating.

Narromine Shire Council’s General Manager, Jane Redden said, ‘By the amount of use the playground has received since opening late last week, it looks like everyone has given it a big thumbs up.’

The playground will be an important open space resource for the community and visitors to the Narromine region.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 public health orders the final construction phase was held up considerably, added Mrs Redden.

The Dundas Park Playground upgrade is valued at $400,000 and was made possible due to Stronger Country Communities Funding (Round 3) and has been designed taking into consideration the ideas generated through community consultation.
