Primary School Sustainability Education Program
Council's Primary School Sustainability Education Program has launched for 2020. In its second year, this program delivers fun and engaging workshops in the classroom to raise awareness about waste. During the workshops, students learn about issues surrounding waste, explore practical ways waste can be reduced and discover what happens to waste and recycling after collection.
The program is delivered by Impact Environmental Education (IEE) who have a range of modules focusing on different aspects of waste and sustainability. The interactive classroom workshops are curriculum-linked and targeted to all stages of Primary School. Council fully funds these workshops with no cost to schools.
Delivery will commence during Term 1 and run throughout 2020.
Interested schools should contact Impact Environmental Education directly.
Registrations for the 2020 program close on Wednesday 19th February. After this date schools can still contact the coordinator as places may be available.
