Waste & Sustainability Education, Primary School Program

Waste & Sustainability Education Primary School Program

Narromine Shire Council has partnered with Dubbo Regional Council and Mid-Western Regional Council to provide the opportunity for all primary students in the council area to access waste and sustainability education program through school incursions in Terms 3 and 4.

The program has fun and engaging workshops that educate young people on issues of waste and the environment, litter and food waste; providing practical actions students can use at home or school.

In 2023 curriculum linked workshops include “Fight Against Food Waste”, “Recycling Right” and “Let’s Not Litter” which look at understanding the problems and opportunities for action around food waste, resource waste and litter.

Schools will be contacted by the Resource Recovery Education Officer in Term 1. Registration is open throughout Term 1, it is an easy process and schools can select suitable delivery dates during Terms 3 and 4.

All primary schools in the Narromine Shire are invited to register.
