Aboriginal Employment Strategy
The Narromine Shire Council Aboriginal Employment strategy, in consultation with the local Aboriginal community, will aim to maintain the number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) people represented in Council’s workforce through proactive strategies in recruitment, career development, cultural awareness, and retention.

Narromine Shire Integrated Water Cycle Management (IWCM) Strategy 2025
A Local Water Utility’s (LWU) Strategic Plan is its 30-year strategy for the provision of appropriate, affordable, costeffective, and sustainable urban water services that meet community needs and protect public health and the environment. The key outcomes of a LWU’s Strategy are a 30year Total Asset Management Plan (TAMP), a 30 year financial plan and a drought and emergency response contingency plan (DERCP).

Narromine Shire Roads Management Strategy 2024
This Strategy describes how Council manages its road network to ensure that Council has a consistent, clear and sustainable approach to its road management and roads operations. It principally addresses matters relating to roads and streets which are the responsibility of Council as the Roads Authority, these include:
• Regional Roads
• Local Rural Roads
• Local Urban Streets
• Bridges and culverts and
• Other ancillary infrastructure (roadside drainage, signs, line marking, traffic islands, pedestrian crossings, guard rails, etc.).
The Strategy provides a transparent sustainable management approach for Narromine Shire Council to construct and maintain roads under its control which reflect the needs of the community as the road network authority, to provide infrastructure that allows safe, convenient and comfortable travel to, from and within the Region.

Closed Circuit Television Privacy Notice
Narromine Shire Council uses closed circuit television (CCTV) systems to monitor and record activity across various locations. The purpose for the monitoring and recording is to provide a safe and secure working environment for Council staff and its customers, as well as assist NSW Police detect, prevent and prosecute assaults, robberies and property damage in the CBD of Narromine. Cameras are only used in the areas listed in this Privacy Notice.

Disability Inclusion Action Plan 2022-2026
The purpose of the Disability Inclusion Action Plan is to set out the strategies and actions that Council will deliver in the next four years to enable people with disability to have greater access to Council information, services and facilities. The Plan includes actions for all areas of Council and will guide us in making our services and facilities more inclusive. Implementation of the actions in this Plan will benefit many people in our community including older people, people with a temporary injury and parents with young children.

Pedestrian Access and Mobility Plan 2024
The purpose of the Pedestrian Access and Mobility Plan is to support the State and Local Government commitment to safe and accessible pedestrian infrastructure in country areas on the key local pedestrian routes where people are more likely to walk than drive. The Plan provides a strategic and coordinated framework for local investment in pedestrian infrastructure on routes that have been identified by the community as important to enhance safety, convenience and mobility for walkers.

Privacy Management Plan
The Privacy Management Plan is designed to introduce policies and procedures to maximise compliance with the PPIPA and the HRIPA. The Plan outlines how Council will incorporate the 12 Information Protection Principles in to its everyday functions.

Narromine Shire Council Plans of Management (POMS)
In 2018, new legislation came into effect regarding the management of Crown Lands. One of the most significant changes was the introduction of the Crown Land Management Act 2016. Under this new Act all Crown Reserves, where Council is the Crown Land Manager, must be managed as if they were public land under the Local Government Act 1993.
Plans of Management have now been adopted by Council for all Crown and Council-owned community land within the Narromine Shire Local Government Area. These Plans are found below.
