Council’s Delivery Program Progress Report 2019/2020

Council reports six monthly, to the community, on the progress of Council’s Delivery Program. At its August meeting, Council reported that Council had achieved 94% of its goals for the financial year 2019/2020.

Narromine Shire Council’s General Manager, Jane Redden said “Council has faced a number of challenges through the 2019/2020 financial year including ongoing drought conditions and COVID-19”

“COVID-19 caused a number of closures including closing the Aquatic Centres 2 weeks early, the temporary closure of Narromine Shire Fitness Centre and the closure of Council’s offices and depots to the public. During this time Council focused on ensuring staff remained employed and were safe with a number of changes occurring within the workplace including staged starting times for outdoor staff and working from home for indoor staff”

“2019/2020 has been an interesting year however I am very pleased with the outcome, staff have worked exceptionally hard to ensure goals were achieved” she said.
