Narromine Shire Council Runner Up in Prestigious Local Government Award - the Bluett Award

Narromine Shire Council was awarded Runner-up in the most prestigious Local Government Award in the state.

The A R Bluett Memorial Award for rural councils has been awarded annually since 1945 and is contested each year by NSW councils who would like to be recognised as being the most progressive in the state.

Narromine Shire Council’s General Manager, Jane Redden said “Although we are runner up in the Bluett Award, the Community should be very proud of Council’s achievements”

“These results did not just happen overnight; it is the result of ongoing organisational transformation and the development of effective and productive working relationships between Councillors, staff and importantly the community”

“Council will continue to focus on delivering outcomes for the community” she said.

Winner of the 2019 Bluett Award was Bourke Shire Council.
