Mayor and Deputy Mayor Re-elected

Cr Craig Davies has been elected unopposed as Mayor and Cr Dawn Collins has been elected unopposed as Deputy Mayor of Narromine Shire Council following Councils ordinary meeting held on Wednesday 9 September 2020. 

Both Cr Craig Davies and Cr Dawn Collins were elected in their positions in 2016 and re-elected in 2018, for a two-year term each time. Due to the ordinary elections being postponed until September 2021, Council was required to hold Mayoral elections for the positions for a period of 12 months.                                                                                                                                                                                                            

Narromine Shire Council’s Mayor, Cr Craig Davies said “I am very proud to again take on the role as Mayor and I’m looking forward to a positive and productive 12 months”

“We have a very robust Operational Plan for 2020/2021 and several exciting developments commencing in the next 12 months, which I look forward to participating in” he said

Deputy Mayor of Narromine Shire Council, Cr Dawn Collins was very pleased with the outcome, saying she is excited to have the opportunity to return as Deputy Mayor for the next 12 months”

Narromine Shire Councils General Manager, Mrs Jane Redden said “I would like to thank all of the Councillors for their incredible commitment to the community and Council over the past 4 years”

The positions will be held for a period of 12 months until 4 September 2021.
