Council’s End of Term Report released

Narromine Shire Council endorsed its 2017-2021 End of Term Report that was presented at Council’s July meeting.

At the end of a Council term, this report is presented providing a comprehensive summary across a range of social, economic, environmental and governance measures.

Mayor Narromine Shire Council Clr Craig Davies said, ‘the End of Term Report outlines Council’s and the community’s progress in implementing the Community Strategic Plan during this term of Council.’

Some of Council’s achievements include the construction of a temporary water treatment plant in Narromine, expansion of commercial land developments at Narromine’s Aviation Business Park, Skypark Residential Park and approval of an over 55’s living retirement village. A significant amount of rehabilitation and re-sheeting works have occurred across the network of local and regional roads. Upgrades and improvements to showgrounds, halls, playgrounds and sporting facilities in Narromine, Trangie and Tomingley.

Significant investment has occurred within the Shire and this is reflected with a record amount of Development Applications during the term, added Clr Davies.

Council also produces an Annual Report which summarises the key highlights and achievements for each year of the Community Strategic Plan’s implementation. The End of Term Report will also accompany the 2021Annual Report published later in the year.
