Media Release Swift Park Trangie, Playground Upgrade The community has voted

In November 2020, Narromine Shire Council asked the community which playground option they would like to see installed in Swift Park, Trangie.

The community voted online with a majority selecting the “Tree House Adventure Theme” playground by Creative Recreation Solutions. 

The playground will include

• All accessible play elements
• Junior and senior climbing towers

• Flying fox
• Swing sets
• Carousel
• Landscaping
• Shaded seating areas

Narromine Shire Council’s General Manager, Jane Redden said ‘It was fantastic to have so much feedback and enthusiasm from the community through the consultation period and via Council’s online survey.’

The playground was designed taking into consideration the ideas generated through community consultation with local schools. The playground will be an important open space resource for the Trangie community and visitors to the Narromine region. 

This playground upgrade is a significant project in the region with construction expected to commence in March 2021. I would like to thank everyone that participated in the voting process, she added.

The Swift Park Playground upgrade is valued at over $350,000 and was made possible due to Stronger Country Communities Fund (Round 3) and Drought Communities Program funding.
