Mobile CCTV to boost safety in the Region

Narromine Shire Council’s new mobile CCTV trailer will significantly boost surveillance capabilities in Narromine, Trangie and Tomingley.

In addition to the 6 CCTV cameras located in Narromine’s CBD, the mobile unit will give Council and the Police the ability to target hotspots in the Region to improve safety for residents and to strengthen operations.

Narromine Shire Council’s General Manager, Jane Redden said “community safety is one of Council’s top priorities.”

“The CCTV trailer will assist in keeping residents and small businesses safe from crime and anti-social behaviour.”

“The increased surveillance will make criminals think twice about doing the wrong thing” she said.

The implementation of a CCTV trailer is an action in Community Strategic Plan and has been delivered through the NSW State Government’s, NSW Community Safety Fund.
