Narromine Region Celebrates 2020 NSW Seniors Festival

The largest senior’s festival in the Southern Hemisphere is coming to Narromine Region and is ready to celebrate incredible seniors.

Themed ‘Love to Celebrate’, Seniors Day in Narromine Region will give over 60s the chance to make new friends and get together with old ones.

“Council is excited to welcome our senior citizens to celebrate this special time,” said Jane Redden, General Manager of Narromine Shire Council.

“The Seniors Festival is designed to celebrate the role seniors’ play and the contributions they make to our community,” she said.

The following events will be held in the Narromine Region to celebrate seniors:

Seniors Day Out in Narromine

• Date: Wednesday, 26 February 2020
• Time: 10-12 noon
• Venue: Narromine Aviation Museum
• Cost: Free
• Details:The day includes a welcome and morning tea including entertainment.
• A bus for Narromine will depart Trangie Hospital at 9.15am, returning at 12 noon. Bookings for the bus are essential, and residents may book a seat by phoning Council.
• Seniors are requested to RSVP to Council on 6889 9999 by Friday, 21 February 2020.

Seniors Day in Trangie

• Date: Thursday, 12 March 2020
• Time: 9.30 am
• Venue: Kurrajong Court Gardens in Mullah Street, Trangie
• Cost: Free
• Details: The day includes a welcome and morning tea plus seniors’ activities and lunch, followed by giveaway prizes.
• A bus for Trangie will depart Narromine Library at 9.15am, returning at 1.30pm. Bookings for the bus are essential, and residents may book a seat by phoning Council on 6889 9999 by Friday, 6 March 2020.
