Upgrades to Apex Park to commence in May

Narromine Shire Council has been successful in receiving over $570,000 in funding for necessary upgrades to Apex Park in Narromine.

Council received $444,000 through the Stronger Country Communities Fund and an additional $130,000 through Clubgrants.

Narromine Shire Councils General Manager, Jane Redden said “Apex Park is currently the training ground for two growing netball clubs in Narromine”

“Council will be staging the development to ensure minimal disruption to sporting and park users” she said.

The funding will provide;

Stage one of the project will begin in May and continue for a few months, with the demolition of park elements to prepare for the construction process. Stage two is expected to commence in the 2020/2021 summer period to ensure winter sports hirers can train within the precinct with minimal disruption.
